Photography is my main hobby. I have been doing it since the days of film. Yes I did shoot Kodachrome. I love to travel and have driven cross country many times. Flying is ok but I prefer to drive or travel by train. My ‘Day Job’ is railroad signal work and I have my own contracting company. Now that I am semi retired, I hope to do more travelling and photography.
I consider myself more “Techie” than “Artiste” and often use my technical abilities in my creativity. I like having the most up to date digital cameras but use the old vintage lenses. They have a look that you cannot duplicate in Photoshop. My photographic experiments include, infrared photography, anamorphic (Cinemascope) photography. modifying older cameras to use still available instant film and numerous lens modifications.
My website has been through many revisions and now I am hoping to make it into a blog and photo gallery. The plan is to blog my travels and photo experiments and have accompanying galleries.
BTW, the name ‘3rdTrick’ comes from 3rd shift on the railroad. A lot of my day job was actually night work and when the internet began, I grabbed the 3rdTrick domain.
