As we discussed in my Aerochrome post, I have digital cameras converted to full spectrum by removing the infrared blocking filter from the sensor. In addition to the IR Chrome filter, I have 850nm filter. This filter blocks all color information and only passes infrared above 850nm producing a completely black and white image. These images are unique because the chlorophyl in the trees and foliage appears bright but water and the sky are cold to infrared and appear dark and almost black.
